Stark, hi-tech, and decidedly not-quite-Western-looking, above are some of the results of an industrial design competition sponsored by Nord, a Ukrainian domestic appliances manufacturer. The competition drew nearly 100 entrants from the Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova and Uzbekistan; you can see more of the designs here.
