The bathroom is a fairly easy place for some satisfying DIY with a clearly demarcated line between success and failure: if you get it right everything's fine, if you get it wrong you're getting hit in the face with a blast of water (or worse).
Yesterday I had to replace the fill valve assembly in my constantly-running toilet, the first time I'd ever done such a thing. Looking inside the toilet tank, I was relieved to see it resembled an engine bay from a '50s car--mostly air, not that many parts. It seemed do-able (and was).
Last year I had to replace the sink faucet, which was also not difficult. And I'll shortly be replacing my current showerhead with an Evolve model, which also looks to be an easy swap.
But then I started looking at Kohler's "WaterTile" showerheads, and wondering--how the heck do you install them? Do you have to rip the wall and the tile up?
Amusingly, the WaterTile section on Kohler's website is entitled "Performance Showering." Am very curious to hear from readers--does anyone have this "system," and if so, did you install it? And is there a noticeable "performance" difference?
