U.K.-based designer Ryan Sorrell's clever clamping legs turn any piece of plywood, MDF, or sheet stock into an instant table. (The piece in the photo looks to be a 3/4" sheet, but the clamp looks like it will admit at least 1.5".) Wouldn't mind having a few of these lying...
I found these fascinating...and completely disturbing. Any idea what they are?(Hit the jump to find out.)They're gourds grown in forms by "tree grafter" Dan Ladd, taken from Dark Roasted Blend's excellent "Living Architecture" photo collection. I can't decide if they're art, or an abomination!

Hand drawn on the computer then printed with an ink-jet, his photo-realistic, aerial photograph-like works are not so far fetched, capturing...
For their latest housewares product, the High & Dry dish rack, Black + Blum have turned to "clean architectural models of futuristic buildings" for inspiration. We aren't sure what buildings they referenced, but the piece definitely shares qualities with the Quadracci Pavilion, Santiago's 2001 addition to the Milwaukee Art Museum....
