Visualize one story, and help bring awareness and social change to many.
Created by The Blind Project, Biographe is a new sustainable apparel line that promotes the recovery and well-being of women and children exploited by the commercial sex trade in Southeast Asia. The brand teaches them marketable job skills in fashion design and employs them in a positive work environment with a sustainable living wage to help them regain autonomy.
The brand has just launched a design challenge, entitled Be A Biographer. The Blind Project is asking designers to visually represent stories of women the organization helped to free from slavery. Graphic images must be uploaded by September 15th. These will be judged first via social networks from September 16th through October 7th. Then, fifteen semi-finalists will be selected to have their work displayed to a panel of judges, who will select 3 winning designs to join the Biographe clothing line, to be announced on October 21st.
