In this age of press-in fittings and snap closures, it's kind of nuts that we still screw lightbulbs into sockets. I never realized this until I saw Brooklyn-based designer Steffi Min's clothespin-style lightbulb:

Plumbing on the other hand...
Any practical issues with either taking it back out when the globe is hot or what happens if someone sticks their finger in the socket. Would love to know how these issues have been worked out (or if they're not issues)
