Among the ship-loving, seafaring Ironborn men in Game of Thrones, "paying the gold price" for a decorative item—i.e., buying it with cash—is a cultural no-no and the mark of a weakling. They prefer "paying the iron price," i.e. cutting someone down with your sword to take their jewelry.
So I wonder what the Greyjoys would say about HBO selling replicas (photo up top) of the Iron Throne depicted in the show; and it's not made of iron at all, but polyester and resin. Other than that, it looks like the one you see on the show, which seems to lack any kind of lumbar support or ergonomic considerations.
"There's no headrest on this thing...hey, what's so funny?"
The seven-foot-tall throne will set you back a cool $30,000, but despite the hefty price tag, they can't even throw in free shipping—which is sure to rankle the Ironborn, since they have their own ships and could transport the thing for free.
"They want an extra $1,800 for delivery!"
