- How did you learn that you had been recognized by the jury?
I discover the email, Friday afternoon while I was cleaning my spam box in Hotmail... It was real, and that was the end of the week, only a half an hour before we go home. In those moments the office area was quiet, I just got up of my chair and say "Putain, j'ai eu un award!" Better not translating in english those words... and eye's colleague looking to me, Just say you than we don't work after the spam news!
- What's the latest news or development with your project?
Engineers have done an aero investigation with a school program, about Ordu tubing profile, with cad simulation. The objective was to draw the utopic profile for having the best aerodynamic result. After 8 month job, the school presented us the result, and our tube profile have a tiny percent to be improved!
The "Lecorbusier law" about how ergonomic and aesthetic apply on aerodynamic proportion was the best way to develop! Engineering 0 - Design 1
- What is one quick anecdote about your project?
The colors tones of the B&W graphics has been done with the "Gernika", one of Picasso painting master piece. Gernika is a little village of basque country, where I'm working.
- What was an "a-ha" moment from this project?
When I discovered marketing the fantastic idea to present Ordu in a 1000 liter water tank in Eurobike bikeshow, the bike did not touch tank's bottom, it floated in 1000 liters of water, and it was very difficult to weigh the bike. There was 4 persons trying to weigh a super Aerobike in a big glass cube, I have photos of the scene, with a great situation between Engineers laws and marketing needs... ha ha ha.

Beyond is a concept to make traveling with a caravan possible for people of all ages with and without impaired abilities. Freedom from barriers is an important and contemporary issue. The Increasing percentage of aged human beings in worldwide societies as well as additional physiological and psychological diseases require a change of thinking within our community. Therefore this universally designed caravan is supposed to remove special status. Universally designed interiors and functions of this caravan are less expensive than custom-built caravans. It is possible to access and exit the caravan barrier-free and spontaneously.
- How did you learn that you had been recognized by the jury?
I followed the newsletter about the live announcements and set myself a reminder. Due to work I missed the video by a few minutes, then I quickly looked up the page and recognized my project. Seeing the news being a winner made me smile and I am thankful to receive an honoring jury comment like this.
- What's the latest news or development with your project?
Nowadays it is not easy to find an investor for exciting and sustainable projects which are complex and still need to be refined. Patience is one part, and another one for me is to participate in awards to gain public interest. The positive feedback from Core 77 motivates me to continue my ambitions.
- What is one quick anecdote about your project?
It all started while camping. Promising ideas result from things you love to do while you have an open mind for improvements. This project represents my passion for design.
- What was an "a-ha" moment from this project?
My "a-ha" moment was to realize how comfortable I am when I am working in the fields of Universal Design and how much potential this area of design offers for our society.
P.S. The awards' colour fits to the colours of the caravan concept perfectly :)
