Nokia announced today a reorganization of their global design units to form a single unit across the entire company for all design related services,
The global unit combines teams in industrial design, user interface and interaction design, ergonomics, communications design, packaging design, colors & materials, sensorial technologies, consumer insight and design management.
Integrating the various design disciplines would go a long way towards a streamlined design process, and crossing countries and cultures, as Nokia does, this move might be something to watch in the future.
