Intel, in conjunction with Motion Computing, is developing a mobile clinical assistant tablet PC to be used in healthcare industries, designed by San Jose, California-based ID firm Whipsaw. Based on workflow studies, staff interviews, and ethnographic research and by utilizing technologies such as RFID, digital imaging, and wireless connectivity, these devices project to enhance patient safety, reduce medication-dispensing errors and ease staff workloads.
