Thursday we jump into the DESIGNMAI week with Italian design for breakfast. I.DoT is a cultural project by the Italian Design Agency, patronized by the national government to promote good Italian design. Berlin is hosting the Italian design tour at the mystic St. Elisabeth church - hereafter the exhibit travels to London and Dubai...Close to the central Alexanderplatz a colorful NORD Style brightens up our eyes with a presentation on the status quo of Scandinavia's design, unlike "making stuff", more about dealing with issues on globalization, norms and stereotypes.
Ronan Kadushin displays his project considered as the design version of Open Source software which was born two years earlier at the DESIGNMAI. He now features his an 'Open Design' collection which is freely downloadable at www.ronen-kadushin.com
Intercity: Berlin-Praha closes the day with an exhibition that creates a cultural bridge between the two countries. After, painted works and photography, this third year focuses on design with selected German and Czech products at the stilwerk Berlin.
