IDSA chose a good handful of designs from its members this year--certainly a varied bunch. Scott Vandervoort presented the Model G floor lamp series (above left) where he acquires unwanted vacuums (mostly from online auctions) and asks the sellers to include a photograph of their immediate environment along with the shipment. The result is a one-of-a-kind ultra-kitsch lighting fixture with a real story behind it. Modcraft showed off a line of subtly textured, modular tile designs (above right), while Conie Chiok's corner shelf (below right) slung a healthy helping of books with ease, thanks to a taut mounting. Pryor & Williams debuted a new electroluminescent paperweight with a decorative inlaid design (below left).
