Project: Virtual Touch
The "virtual touch" is a wall surface in your home made of homogeneous material. It is a window into the homes of the other people you are connected with. The connection code is one of the most precious gifts you could give to somebody; it is treated like jewelry. The codes are embedded in pearls--the personal item. The "virtual touch," through your necklace, recognizes the user and traces your silhouette, finally transmitting the image to the recipient. The further you stand away from the wall, the blurrier your silhouette, creating the feeling of a sharp, private connection, or alternatively, a soft, distant presence.
