Having recently been recognized as one of the top-ten design groups at this years Milan Salone Satellite, Core presents
the work of designers Melissa Sunjaya and Dominic Symons. Blue Lounge Design, founded in 1999, is a studio devoted to creating new products; furniture, enviornments, books, graphics and digital media. The colection here represents Blue Lounge's concept recently shown at the Salone.
"Blue Lounge is that idyllic place where everything falls into place. We want to create graphics, light, motion and furniture - elements to create an enviornment that put you into an interesting state of mind."

Ugli: A New Kind Of Beauty

In keeping with its practice of ignoring convention, plastic buddha design is pleased to present "ugli: a new kind of beauty" to the public. Ugli is a line made up of "impossible" pieces that at first seem to defy purpose - curved table tops, two legged chairs and shelving that moves. The hidden beauty of each piece is revealed in its interaction with the user.
