Question: if the user isn't supposed to get inside the thing, how exactly does Apple's service department do it? Just wondering...Here's my only quirk with the current plethora of huge-capacity MP3 players. WAY too complicated and impossible to use just by feel. I currently use one of those Muvo players, which is nice because it holds a decent amount of songs and I can easily move through tracks by just pushing around some buttons without even looking. However cool the ipod may be, it's very difficult to change songs (libraries, song lists, blah blah blah) with gloves on. Real pain when exercising, not to mention that it weighs about 10 times as much as a Muvo. Suppose they are just aimed at different crowds though. Back to the battery thing. it's certainly a concern to me since I use my MP3 player 10-20 hours a week and blow through AAA batteries. At that rate, if I had an ipod, it would be dead in less than a year. Not a wise $400 investment (but again, I'm out of the bell curve.) IP: Logged |

I'll send mine to Apple. I'll send it in even if the batt's doing well, I've read they just give you a new iPod. Sounds good to me. I may just wait anyway, this whole battery thing has been pretty overblown. IP: Logged | |
