I was at a store and saw the Wacom Graphire 3 tablet.I don't know anything about tablets but this one was only for about US$76, so I was looking into it. Any feedback? What kind of spec is good or bad? here's a link:http://ap.wacom.co.jp/products/graphire/graphire3_index.html Thanx!

The main difference between the Graphire and Intuos models is the level of sensitivity (512 v 1024); I've got a Intuos at work and a Graphire at home. The Intuos is nicer, but not a huge improvement for what I use it for (sketching/sketch painting/photo editing). My Graphire is merely 4x6 while my Intuos is 9x12, so I'm probably not as sensitive to the smaller tablet either.IP: Logged |

yeah, ive got a graphire to. it was a gift so im not going to dog it but..... unless you are drawing on the surface of the output (the screen), then i have found it dificult to get a drawing or rendering style as good as old pen and paper. the nice part is that you can sketch on paper and then trace it using the transparent layer of the tablet. Well I guess being in ID I am sure I can just put the tablet in a vacuum forming machine and make myself a vivac cover for the tracing.....But besides that, I found that the one I saw was a little less than 4x6, which is smaller than a standard photograph. I guess I will still stick to traditional pen and paper. My room mate's got a big one from a different brand, maybe I can borrow his and try it out. IP: Logged |
