I'm an architect that just started a new office. I need the whole works when it comes to branding but like most designers when starting out.. I'm broke...! I can do a lot of the design myself, but I feel it is a smarter move to hire someone who knows printing/paper/graphics like the back of their hand. Any suggestions of where to start.. IP: Logged |

Hire a part time production artist or a freelancer. You can tool your designs and thoughts then pass it to him/her to complete. They can create templates that are production/press ready and you can plug in new info as needed. As long as you follow the templates that have seen a sucessful print job you should be fine. After a few rounds you will become more confident on the production side yourself. Call the production artist or freelancer in only when needed or new design ideas come about. You were refering to Graphic Design work... correct? IP: Logged |
