Anyone gotten a notebook PC/Mac yet? They seemed to have come down in price and I'm guessing they're probably better than before.

I'd love to get one if they're really useful, esp for designers.

Anyone had any good or bad experiences with one?

I bought a loaded Gateway laptop about a year ago and, even though the specs are nearly identical to my computer at work, it is pretty darn slow. Takes forever to do anything in photoshop, rhino or alias. it's 2.5ghz with 512mb ram and all that other fun stuff, but jeesh, it's slow. A desktop is the best way to go for bang for the buck. if money is no object, go ahead and get a Dell M60. Those are the best laptops out there.

Sorry for the confusion, not a laptop, a notebook. I know that laptops are sometimes called notebooks but I'm talking about the tablet type with touchscreen/stylus and handwriting recognition.

Oh, I see what you are talking about. Sorry, I have no experience with them yet, but good ol' Bill Gates seems to think they are the next big thing. He has the ability to run the show, so it's a safe bet that they will be replacing things soon.

Still pricey though, considering they are just a touch-screen.
