I would like to get an opinion on Solidthinking. I need some more associative modelling than Rhino, and cant spring for Alias. I tried the demo but since I am not a power-user I feel that I dont know enough about the work-flow to have a strong opinion.
initially I like the simplicity and user friendlinees of the interface. The logic is similar to Rhino and has an uncanny resemblance to Alias. Construction tree is a little harder to navigate than Solidworks since all the curves are included, but the updating geometry is sweet.
I dont like the fact that you have to create edge curves a lot since you cant align curves to surfaces or loft edges of surfaces
Any opinions would be appreciated. The demo can be downloaded at www.solidthinking.com
