i am writing my senior thesis on minorities and design and i am looking for stats on the number of practicing african american or/and minority designers practicing presently or as current as possible any help would be great!!

why would you ever come to this forum w/ a quesiton like that - have you seen the blatantly racist quotes that are in tons of the postings. that might make a more interesting thesis - why do designers harbor these attitudes and how does it affect the work they do.

look up a guy named Dr. Noel Mayo at Ohio State. He is THE man for getting African Americans more involved in design, is well known for it, also has a firm in Philly as well with a strongly minority staff last I heard. You can thank me after you get your "A+"!
