Is pratt or pasadena a better school. I spoke to a graduate of art center and he said that no one there knows how to draw in perspective and that their design's shapes are really bad. Is this true?IP: Logged |

That's pretty unbelievable, cus Art Center still has perspetive class I believe, for the undergrads. So I suppose their grad program should at least be better. How about Cranbook? I heard it's pertty good! IP: Logged |

to art center and SEE for yourself if people can't draw in perspective...actually...just don't go to art center. go to pratt. art center sucks and actually...people can barely draw coming out of there. its amazing to pay 100K to go to that school and have no skills whatsoever coming out. truely amazing that people are duped into it... If you see the importance of studying forms and spaces as cheeseblocks, I can not say anything to you.. However, there are many ways to see and understand those studies. Pratt has its own way of teaching and I believe other schools thave different perspective. I was little worried about what I will learn from those classes at first, but now I realized that it's like a learning how to ride a bicycle. It will be useful later when I get to design the real products.

"C-center for C-creative S-studies ass kicking school for trans Michigan is not that bad. somehow Detroit's got it's unique character that u'll can never find anywhere else! sometimes just gotta learn how to appreciate things!"You from CCS? My first impression of Detroit was... "Mmmkey", but realising how convenient ( relatively) it is to obtain various industrial parts for projects in DEtroit, I think it rocks! Not that I have anytime to have fun, so it doesn't matter to me. IP: Logged |

I think all three of those schools are riding the prestige they gathered when they used to be amazing. I think there are still some great students at Pratt, Parsons and Art Center, but I haven't been blown away by the work...only the egos. Your best reason for going there is the name, not the program. Take your money elsewhere and build yourself on your work, not your school's name.IP: Logged |
