They are based in columbus ohio and I think they do pretty much everything, industrial, interior, graphic, and enviromental design.

Fitch is big in ID. They are not big on hiring interns. They also have their hands in everything else design related. Graphic, multimedia, etc. They have alot of employees.

They are big in HOT AIR!!! It's a marketing driven company that uses ID as a nice sauce for their stories... That's why they pay designers like sh*t...

I've heard that Fitch is in very bad shape right now, and that there are rumors that they may have to shut down entirely. I don't know if this is true, but it would explain why they're not hiring interns right now. I'd maybe look elsewhere.

I've heard the same thing. Maybe it's not a rumor.

Fitch is a product development company. One of my managers worked for Fitch Osaka, and said that it slowly moved towards more graphic identity clients.

Fitch used to be a really good place to intern and work at. I was there back in 98. They had some very well known folks onboard that took mentoring seriously. It is very sad to see where they have reached now. A few crooks have wrecked a great firm. I know that there are still some good people there. Nothing like it used be though!

It was a fun place while it lasted. NOw is a very thin shadow of what it was. I think the only office left in US is Columbus and they are having a hard time. Everybody's pretty much gone, except for a very few ones still standing. After the company was sold the first time everything started going down the hill. The bad economy did not help, but even a good economy would have not changed its course. I still have some of my best memories from that place and the poeple that made it what it once was. BTW, those euros running he show now have absolutely no clue of what they have destroy and they nevel will. Incompetence has severe serults in business.
