You will have a hard time find any good or really representative rankings over the schools in Europe. I would say it is related to the fact that it is hard to determine what you should rank the schools accordingly to. What really determine what a good school is? The diversity in university culture in Europe also contributes to make it hard to really determine what is good and bad. What one country (or university) might consider as crucial another could consider as useless. The different High School systems in Europe also contribute to make it hard to make useful rankings. If you however want to have some indication about which schools are considered more highly (not being said better than someone else) you should look into the exchange programmes the different schools have. Schools with good exchange programmes have probably a reputation strong enough to set up and maintain them.
I have also heard that some schools become accredited by US institutions. What this kind of accreditation says is however hard to tell, if considering among other things the thoughts above.
Sorry for the bad English but I am too tired to care!
