does anyone know how to go about reproducing an exsiting hood of a car but in clear plastic (Acrylic or Polycarb) for exhibition purposes and it will be one off? thermo forming?IP: Logged |

Buterate is a great clear thermoforming plastic--but engine heat could be a problem (that goes for Acrylic and Polycarb as well.)

I have seen these at car shows before. I believe they are available from NOPI.com. You could try there to find the manufacturer, they may share the knowledge.IP: Logged |

Buterate is a great clear thermoforming plastic--but engine heat could be a problem (that goes for Acrylic and Polycarb as well.) If only for exh u shouldnt have to worry about it, thermoformin the shape will be costly to source yourself.
