automotive. moved to france last year. CCS graduate. 380k francs= 58k euro= $55k US plus full benefits (no car though) and 6 weeks vacation. no OT paid.
before I did automotive in germany for 4 years: started at $42k, ended up at $60k incl. paid OT. full benefits and 11 weeks vacation! (6 weeks paid holiday + 5 weeks comp time) German salaries highest in Europe, so it's best to start off there and then move elsewhere. Took a pay cut nonetheless and living expenses are higher... but am living in paris taxes are higher than US (about 50% if you're single)

If you can start your own Product Development consulting company, spend 20 years at it and do the right things. You could make about $300,000-$500,000 per year.

Sharing could very well be making $340K. It would not surprise me. It can be done.

If you have a studio with 5 or 10 people, it's obtainable. Do you think a person is going to employ 5 to 10 others to make $10K more than their highest paid employee.

If you are paying out 60K on average from your highest to lowest paid employee, then you want to pull in $180K. That's 1440 billable hours a year at $125/hr.

Then $60K for the employee, $60K for cost of doing business (rent, non-billable employees,
legal, medical, benefits, computers, etc.), 60K profit.

That's 60K profit per billable employee.

Doable on a "TIGHTLY" run ship.

My friend in NYC makes $100,000USD/yr and he's only 30 yrs old. Not that's he's ordinary or six figures is an enormous amount of greenbacks- but as a comparison:

I live in Canada as a ID guy making $28,000 CDN (at BATA)which is like $2,000USD/yr equivalent right? but seriously that's about $19,000USD.

Now the question is... comparing the two salaries, are we being underpaid and under appreciated? overworked? underexposed?

I'm thinking of taking a Cert. General Accounting class. In 6 months I'll be making $10,000 more than i am now. Isn't that sad? even bus drivers make more than entry level ID guys. http://www.salary.com
