How are free-lance design fees usually charged? By percentage or a flat fee?
I'm working on furniture design for a magazine start-up--basically a conference table, shelves, a few small work tables, and possibly some sort of very simple seating. Most of it will be plywood--I'm planning on getting it pre-cut and then do assembly myself, with the help of the clients. (It's a small office, and I don't have a shop of my own.) Is some sort of percentage of construction costs standard for this sort of work? This is my first job of this kind so I'm not sure what standard practice is. Please advise! Thanks!IP: Logged | |
