              * AMERICAN CENTER FOR DESIGN *
Invitation to host The Seventeenth annual 100 show
travelling exhibition

The 100 Show, now in its seventeenth year, is widely considered to
be the most rigorous communication design competition. While
most design competitions select winners by consensus among
jurors, the 100 Show allows each juror to individually curate a
selection of work from the total pool of entries. The resulting
exhibition reflects each juror's unique and informed point of view.
The jurors for the 100 Show were:

Stephen Doyle - Creative Director, Drenttel Doyle Partners
New York

Laurie Haycock Makela - Design Director, Walker Art Center
Minneapolis

Rudy VanderLans - Editor and Designer, Emigre
Sacramento

The selected pieces are accompanied with detailed credits and
commentary by both the designers and the jurors. The pieces are
provided unmounted, and the credits and commentary are provided
as small laminated panels, allowing the greatest flexibility in
installation. The catalog documenting the 17th 100 Show will be
available mid-February, 1995.

The fee to host the exhibition for up to eight weeks is $500. Each
site is also responsible for shipping costs.

The 100 Show is available on a first come, first served basis.
Reservations are invited for the Spring, Summer and Fall of 1995.
