About the Competition
Wave Sport partnered with Core77 to create a new generation of boat graphics for their Fuse 56 river running / freestyle kayak, featuring their new full-color high-resolution graphics capability. The Top 5 designs will be displayed at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Show in Salt Lake City in July 2009, and winners will also receive a kayak with their own design. The Grand Prize winner receives and additional $2500.
Judges for the competition were Peter Csonka, 2008 Freestyle World Cup Champion; Gail Anderson, Creative Director of Design, SpotCo; Sam Moulton, Senior Editor at Outside Magazine; Robert Peerson, Lead Designer, Wavesport; and Eric Ludlum, Creative Director, Core77.
