This exhibition is presented to draw attention to the plight of refugees. Refugees showcases contributions from several artists, entities and UN offices.
The Most Important Thing, Portraits of an Escape includes photos by Brian Sokol and focuses on refugees from Syria, the Central African Republic, Sudan and Mali. Do You See What I See? includes photos taken by young Syrian refugees living in camps in Jordan and Lebanon. Clouds Over Sidra is a virtual reality (VR) video that transports visitors in the Za'atari Camp in Jordan and makes them see first-hand what it means to be a refugee. Portals is part of a global network of interconnected shipping containers with immersive audio and video technology that allows visitors to converse face-to-face with refugees in camps across the world.
This exhibition is organized by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), the UN SDG Action Campaign and the UN Department of Public Information.
