Better Life by Design: Designing for People With Disabilities in Singapore
National Design Centre
111 Middle Rd, Singapore 188969
DesignSingapore Council presents the initiative, Better Life By Design, to enhance the quality of social services, community engagement and family life. The objective of this program is to design and innovate social services to enhance the quality of lives of people with disabilities, provide greater opportunities for their participation in an inclusive society and provide fresh ideas and perspectives to better support their stakeholders.
3-day co-creation sessions:
The co-creation sessions are based on design ethnography research, scans of global trends and design innovation. They will focus on adults living with disabilities (physical, intellectual, sensory-hearing, visual impairment and autism spectrum disorder). Participants will gain insights on how adults with disabilities in Singapore live, work and participate in society and identify opportunities, methods and solutions for developing services, experiences and products for people with disabilities.
Half-day co-creation sessions:
Participants of the studio sessions will articulate existing challenges, define target segments and identify opportunities to develop a design brief and an implementation plan.
