"Power Me" is a design show about energy & the environment. We challenged designers to choose an environmental topic they are passionate about and address the issue.
It feels like there is an unlimited supply of electricity, food, and materials available at our fingertips. Energy touches every aspect of our lives—from the meals we eat, the devices we love, and the clothes we wear. Our lives are comfortable and our habits are power hungry, but at what cost?
Come and discover how designers envision the future of energy! The show features 20 creations by a collective of designers from across the country. The exhibited work ranges from market-ready products to futuristic product concepts. There will be demos and samples at the opening party.
Here is a taste of what you'll see at the exhibit:
– charge your device with every day activities (from chasing your dog to twerking)
– learn about the easiest way to get rid of e-waste safely
– play with a robot cat that teaches kids how to save energy in their own room
– squeeze a styrofoam teddy bear grown from mushrooms
… and many more funky, thought provoking projects
The show is produced by Grouphug; a design collective that addresses the overwhelming problems that society faces.
