The weeklong celebration runs from August 26 – September 1, showcasing the city's sneaker culture through the lenses of art, design, music and sport
"Sneaker Week serves as a venue where members of the sneaker community can curate cultural experiences within art, music, sports, and design, representing their interpretation of the boundless influence of the sneaker," said Sneaker Week cofounder Herbert Beauclere. "This year we are expanding our experiences to include access to places that can only be found in Portland, like sessions at the Adidas MakerLab or "HikeBeastin" in one of the largest urban parks."
Beauclere said show organizers want to continue to educate and connect likeminded sneakerheads and enthusiasts through the core creative roots of the culture. The goal is to provide a space for the next great wave of creatives to see the city for the opportunities it provides.
