BSX Insight is an all-in-one sports sensor that lets you simultaneously record heart rate, cadence, pace, calories and your lactate threshold! In fact, it’s the world’s first wearable lactate threshold sensor. We’re honored to have been a part of the process.
The device “looks inside” your muscle during exercise to measure your athletic horsepower, then pairs with your sports watch to let you know, in real-time, whether to speed up or slow down to get the most out of training.
The BSX Insight is paired with an app to deliver detailed information to the user in order to help improve the efficacy of their workout regimen. Lactate inflection point (LIP) aka Lactate Threshold, is the exercise intensity at which the blood concentration of lactate and/or lactic acid begins to exponentially increase. By having a better understanding of one’s lactate threshold, users are able to more efficiently train for muscle growth, endurance and more. BSX insight is used commonly by cyclists and runners.
From the Kickstarter campaign:
With BSX Insight you completely take the guesswork out of training, enabling you to train smarter. It does this by simultaneously measuring your HR, pace, cadence, fuel reserves and most importantly your lactate threshold (or athlete horsepower). These create a composite of your current fitness profile and tell you precisely what changes to make so you can focus on what your body needs.
Don’t just track your activity. Transform it.
