Overview
People are living more isolated lives than ever before. To fill their social gap, individuals are looking towards everyday objects for companionship. When it comes to companionship, there's two types of objects: austere design, with no anthropomorphic qualities, and the loud cartoonish products, with eyes conveying strong emotions.
We believe there's a third option – one where the form's anthropomorphic qualities are friendly and welcoming without being too loud – which has led to the creation of Sake Dolls for ototi.
