Telami Tripolina is a made in Italy iconic folding chair.

Designed in 1855, it was licensed to Italian companies from the early 1900s. Very soon it became a bestseller among the Italian settlers in Libya, where its very fast and lightweight folding mechanism made it ideal for use in gardens and scientific expeditions. Since then it has been nicknamed “Tripoli chair”, or “Tripolina”.
During the 50s and 60s, the Tripolina saw a new wave of success thanks to its adoption by great architects, such
as Franco Albini and Giuseppe Terragni. This enshrined it as an international icon of style.
