From the Coroflot portfolio of : Zinc Chan (London, United Kingdom)

Featured Project : icono

"I have based my design on the iconic hand gesture people use to represent the telephone. The handset is divided into two parts, earphone and microphone. This invites the user to use the iconic gesture when using the phone. When the user dials the numbers, an animated path is shown on the touch screen. Therefore, people start to remember the person by their unique pattern rather than the numbers. This, together with the two-piece handset creates a more emotional interaction between the phone and the user."

very cool phone. i like the dialing buttons and everything about the phone but feel the finger mic and earphones are a bit too much,it would have achieved everything if the receiver was just wireless. The phone gives the user a task by making the user aim his finger, and most people a clumsy when using the left hand.

Yes Pablo the finger gesture is similar...however, the graphic concept of this product is fantastic. Speed dial has made making phone calls so sterile and impersonal. Bravo Zinc Chan.

Yes Kodak, your thumb and pinky finger may tire, yet aren't all hand gestures implied. I think this product inspires use.
