So this thing here is called a Super Clamp. It's an indispensable piece of kit for photographers and you'll find them in every professional photography studio.
The design of the jaws allows it to securely clamp around cylindrical objects, square tubes, sheet goods and tabletops. The gold peg you see can be used to attach a camera or photography lighting, which would typically have a standard mount that mates with the peg.
Anyways, a bicycle accessories manufacturer called Altangle has adapted the design of the Super Clamp for their Hangar Connect object, which essentially consists of two Super Clamp variants connected by an aluminum pipe.
The result is what the company calls a "mount anywhere bike stand," for those who need to get their bike off of the ground to work on it.
Alternatively, it can be used as an impromptu bike rack.
The Hangar Connect runs $225.
