Nike police sneaker An officer with the Hammond Police Department developed the shoe on the Nike site, then conferred with the company about the design for several weeks. He and his colleagues eventually bought 26 pairs. The shoes are black, with POLICE on the right outside of the shoe, and HPD on the back, in yellow-gold thread.
