By the bye, to what do you attribute the popularity of fidget spinners? The trend is less than a decade old, having emerged around 2017, and to date no social scientist has precisely pegged the reason behind their uptake. If I had to guess, it's that humans have an inherent need to manipulate physical objects—use tools, really—and our current reality, where we speak commands and swipe glass rectangles, isn't scratching that itch.
