Belgian designer Peter Donders is a real materials maniac. This Shelly chair was made by producing a 3D print, making a mold around the print, then casting the chair in bronze.
Then he went and, just for the hell of it, made this bonkers handcrafted (not cast, obviously) version of the chair in freaking Walnut:
The latter chair is called, as you might guess, Walnut Shelly. And no, it most certainly is not headed for production.
