"See Better to Learn Better" is a program sponsored by the Mexican Government to provide free eyeware to students between the ages of 6 and 18. Fuesproject/Yves Béhar worked with the non-profit organization to develop a special line of eyewear especially suited for the needs of schoolchildren. Collección Escolar ergonomic, iconic and customizable: the frames snap together from elements in seven different colors, 5 different shapes, and 3 different sizes, with interchangeable nose pads.
The students choose their own pair of glasses prior to delivery of a batch to the school. A specially designed options catalog allows the students to see what their pair will look like and design them in an interactive way.
Pretty cute, and they're also durable. The frames are made from hyper-flexible Gilamid Plastic, so they won't break in half on the soccer field.
