Another potential Autoprogettazione redux, Gonçalo Campos'sEsa tables are held together by knotted fabric, passed through holes drilled through simple wooden parts, providing stability through tension. They were designed to be assembled without adhesives or additional hardware, purposely using materials common to a household. Each piece is meant for a slightly different use, from a high-platform pedestal for a family relic or picture frame to a low one, for a potted plant.
From the designer:
Despite their unique and curious look these objects are simple to construct, without recurring to glues or other modern elements, usually used to construct this kind of furniture. The fact that the whole construction is very understandable makes these objects reveal themselves, without any concealed materials covered in veneer or "magically" glued parts.
