One of our favorite NYC-based designers, Lindsey Adelman, debuted three new collections at the American Design Building installation in the NoHo Design District. Along with new lighting pieces "Burst" and "Catch" featuring her signature mix of hand blow glass pieces and vintage inspired brass stamens, we were excited to see a small collaborative collection of tabletop objects. The hand blown glass vases were enveloped by beautiful metallic textures crafted by Brooklyn-based sculptor Darcy Miro. Adelman is also making her first foray into jewelry with simple gold necklaces for Wearables and a "crafty" clutch—reworking a Klein toolbag with a feminine detail. Check the jump for details and more images of her new work!

"Burst" is inspired by the glamour of vintage jewelry and reminds me of bauble costume jewelry with its explosion of hand blown glass spikes, gold wrapped globes and brass stamens. Her "Catch" pendant which debuted last month in Milan, creates a warm glow for LED lights housed in translucent hand blown glass which is blown directly into the brass hooks.
"In order to create each Catch piece, Michiko blows the glass right into the brass form, and then continues to shape the form while her assistant Kim blows into the pipe. Karl works to shape the glass by pulling the brass form up and forcing the glass to slump exactly as we want it to. Michiko must maintain the perfect temperature while keeping all on center and turning the pipe. She makes it all look so easy, and we are thrilled she is coming with us to Milan so we can celebrate her." —Sight Unseen
