The adage that "Power is taken, never given" adequately sums up most airport interiors, as bean counters from various airlines love removing once-prevalent power outlets to keep us customers from sucking up their precious juice. Hotels, on the other hand, have hospitality built into their raison d'etre, so the Comfort Suites has commissioned a line of power-delivering desktop objects designed by Brandstand Products.
While you won't mistake it for a Dieter Rams classic, there's no denying the utility of the Cubie Power Panel, which clamps to any tabletop and delivers four sockets (or three sockets and two USB ports) and provides a little holder for those vestigial ethernet cables. The somewhat gaudy CS logo on the one up top was clearly added during a marketing meeting, along with the nonsense about "suite success," but there was some design involved: They at least rotated the top two outlets 90 degrees, so you can fit those brick-style adapters in without intruding on the outlets below.
