Nothing super groundbreaking here, just gorgeous 44”×55” archival pigment prints by Linda Lindroth. Each image is of a found object; many are boxes or containers that have deteriorated over time. Some of the subjects are strange objects that I collect. The work continues along lines of investigation begun with the Polaroid 20x24 camera in the 1980's which you can see on my website along with other work from the 1970's. There is also a section on installations which I did in concert with the photographic work.
The artist and writer works in a variety of media with a penchant towards photography. Her latest series of works will be exhibited at Giampietro Gallery in New Haven this coming September; in the meantime, she is "looking to have the work included in upcoming exhibitions by curators who are interested in the size, scale and subject matter."
Her husband and frequent collaborator, architect Craig Newick notes:One of the problems in reproducing them or posting them is they depend greatly on their scale and how they behave in real space. Their flatness, their fidelity and the obscurity of their origins combine to make images of memorable power.
