You couldn't make it up: a husband-and-wife maker duo from (not Portland but) Boise, Idaho, have just launched their first handmade product, a wooden wallet. Each Slim Timber wallet is crafted from a single piece of wood to ensure that it's strong enough to support a grown man.
The compartment is large enough to accommodate up to eight credit or ID cards, as well as business cards and a couple bucks if you're old-fashioned. A simple leather strap with a magnetic enclosure secures the contents of your most personal possession, which is made from maple or walnut in the U.S. of A.
