Although the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center is notorious for its rather unflattering industrial lighting fixtures, many of the exhibitors at the ICFF happen to design lamps and lighting for the appreciably more intimate settings of the home or office, where (thankfully) we spend most of our time. Here's a selection of some of our favs, including several new offerings from our friends at Rich Brilliant Willing, Brendan Ravenhill and Patrick Townsend.
Theo, Charles and Alex of Rich Brilliant Willing were all smiles as they debuted several new furniture and lighting designs at the ICFF. They'd long outgrown their cramped office on the Lower East Side by the time they moved to a substantially larger studio in Brooklyn last month.
Los Angeles-based Brendan Ravenhill is expanding his Cord series of lighting with a couple of new offerings, along with the new Angle stool. As with his previously-seen Bare Lights, Ravenhill pointed out that the sconce (at bottom right) has a similar glass luminaire, which tapers into a tiny halo of refracted light.
