Wired's got a short piece on the Phitin titanium necklace phenomenon, with a doubting quote from Will Carroll: "The question is, 'How much do you want to pay for it?' A titanium necklace is probably just as good as a friendship bracelet that your daughter makes for you." Well, if I had a friendship bracelet that my daughter made for me, I'd be throwing pretty good.
