Today's NYTimes has a short profile on Viktor Schreckengost, an iconic designer whose career spanned most of the 20th century. He founded the ID program at the Cleavland Institute of Art in 1931, and schooled hundreds of designers through his career there (including a number of Core77 readers - ed.). He turns 100 on June 26, and this year the The Viktor Schreckengost Foundation has organized exhibitions of his work at 130 sites across the country between now and August. The foundation website has a great collection of images of his work, including some original sketches and a lot of toys, bikes and pedal cars.
