David Hensel's laughing head sculpture has been rejected by the Royal Academy of Arts which has instead chosen to display its wooden support. The head sculpture was Hensel's intended submission, however the judges assumed the plinth was entered as a separate piece, ultimately concluding that it was the more deserving piece to be shown.
