Giving new meaning to "back in the day," apparently cavemen, like the modern day man, felt the need to "ice the wrist" and assert status by donning "bling." These ancient shell beads, believed to have been strung together to make necklaces and bracelets, were examined by scientists at Mount Carmel, Israel and Oued Djebbana in Algeria. They are estimated to be 90,000 - 100,000 years old, and were most likely not just for decoration, but also to express power or meaning.
